Congratulations to Bandon who took home the Plate and for the 3rd year Fermoy managed to hold onto the Cup – well done girls!

Fermoy Hockey Club’s annual memorial tournament for Nicola Dowling & Ciara O’Brien, whom we tragically lost in 2008 & 2009, will run on Sunday 18^th September this year. The format remains the same with the Cup competition for division 2 clubs and the Plate competition for division 4 teams.

Proceedings are expected to get under way at 10am with the Plate competition run first and the Cup competition starting in the afternoon. This tournament has become a great pre-season warm up event and we hope this year will be the same sporting spectacle as the past 2 years, especially with Fermoy hoping to retain the Cup.

Teams for the Div 2 Cup Competition are Harlequins, Clonmel, Belvedere and reigning champions, Fermoy.

The Div 4 competition for the Memorial Plate will be contested by hosts Fermoy along with Bandon, Bruff and current plate-holders Church of Ireland.

You are very welcome to come along and support your club on the day, refreshments will be available, and don’t worry about the weather as an indoor viewing area is also available!
